Mike

Mike has primarily been a drum kit player for many MI Rock-n-Roll bands and a long-time singer/songwriter. When he heard some acoustic Folk/Americana tunes, it was love at first sight, however, he felt there was not enough percussion for him. So he decided to combine his love for the Americana movement and his skills as a drummer and percussionist, to create unique songs with a percussion backbone not heard in the traditional genre.

Feter is a singer/songwriter folk-blues guitarist. His unique style is deeeply rooted in the Blues tones. During his career of 30+ years, he has been influenced by many Blues masters, with diversity of styles from Ol' timy folk, into 60's groove. He has recorded and played live shows in the US and abroad with countless bands and musicians. When not playing gigs with SML, he supports other fellow musicians in the SE Michigan musical scene.

Dixie’s fiddle drive is in a wide range of music genres.  Her musical roots come from playing music with her dad as a child and joining the school orchestra.  Musician pals from all over Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio have allowed her to develop and tap her fiddle ‘Snow’ into bluegrass, country, folk, rock, blues, jazz, polkas, swing, and even Finnish and Irish Fiddlin'.  She has written and recorded several originals. She’s played with bands such as the Lost Road Ramblers, Silver Creek, and Rodney Parker & Liberty Beach and opened for Nashville acts including Parmalee and Mustang Sally with Rodney Parker & Liberty Beach. She loves to teach the little ones and you can find the Fiddlin’ Dixie with lil’ Friends kiddie corner every year at the Blissfield Bluegrass Festival. http://www.fiddlindixie.webs.com

Cheech

Cheech started his music journey by training in classical flute thanks to his grandad.

While in Italy, he played a number of different instruments and was involved in a few projects. When he moved to the States, he decided to dive deep into Soul, R&B and above all, Motown. James Jamerson, and the “Funk Brothers” are his heroes, his main influence, and possibly the very reason why he decided to pick up the bass guitar as his next instrument to learn. He is well versed in a variety of styles, and before joining SML, he was playing in the metro detroit bar scene. In his free time, when not playing music, he loves to spend time with his family and ride his motorcycle with his kids.
