How We Came to Be

After a few jams in 2014, Feter and Michael began writing songs together. With Feter’s folk-blues soul and Michael’s rock&roll grit, they created a fresh new Americana sound incorporating unique and unconventional instruments with more traditional ones. This first effort culminated in a 6 song album in the fall of 2014. They landed a show in Dixie’s hometown in February 2015 and asked her if she’d like to join them.  After adding some of Fiddlin’ Dixie’s country bluegrass jazz background, the sound seemed to develop even further so she hopped on board. Last, but not least, Cheech auditioned when they were looking for a bassist to fill the bottom-end. Cheech brought in his versatile background of rock, pop, motown, folk, reggae and everything in between. The four musicians honed an original, wonderful and rich blend of America’s most loved music genres...and that became the sound of Sunday Morning Light.
